On the first floor of the beautiful brick Glenora building, Café de Ville is an elegant venue for a romantic dinner. The intimate, dark wood interior is very continental, but there is something to please everyone on the internationally-inspired menu. Chef Paul Campbell challenges his diners a little. The result is sometimes unexpected, but almost always delightful. Prices range from a $7 appetizer to a $40 entrée, with plenty of options in between.
One of Café de Ville`s best features is its dessert tray: their gifted Pastry Chef is always experimenting, and lucky patrons get to sample some novel creations. Save some room after the Duck Confit or grilled salmon, since you will want to try a dessert or three.
Consider staying at the Glenora Bed & Breakfast above Café de Ville and make a weekend of it, with dinner on Saturday and a Sunday brunch. Reservations are highly recommended at all times.
